Gurudongmar Lake is one of the highest lakes in the world, and India, located at an altitude of 17,800 ft. in the Indian state of Sikkim.
The lake is located to the northeast of the Kanchenjunga Range and is only 5 kilometers from the Chinese border.
From November to May, this lake is completely frozen. A stream comes out of this lake, which connects Tsho Lamo lake to this lake, and then from here, the Teesta river rises. It is considered sacred by Buddhists, Sikhs, and Hindus.
