Phool Bagh is one of the famous tourist spots of Orchha, Madhya Pradesh. It is the most beautiful garden of Orchha, and it represents the aesthetic values of the Bundelkhand dynasty, which ruled over this small kingdom of Madhya Pradesh.
There is also a covered structure underneath, which used as a summer retreat by the kings of Orchha. Phool Bagh is well planned, and it has an ingenious system of water ventilation that connects the underground palace with the Chandan katora fountain.
The Badgir Sawan Bhadon towers are also present in this garden, it was built to catch the wind and keep the places cool. There is a famous tale related to this garden. People said that it was built as a memorial for Dinman Hardaul, the prince of Orchha.
The prince is said to have died as martyr to prove his innocence over an alleged love affair with his brother's wife.
