The Pandava Caves are a group of five small hills located in Pachmarhi, Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that the Pandavas took refuge here during their expulsion.
The size of these caves is small. A comparatively large cave that has sufficient airflow is called Draupadi Kuti or cave.
Archaeological evidence suggests that these caves were built by Buddhist monks in the 1st century AD as they used to take refuge in this place.
But the stories of Pandavas are more famous among the local people. Pandava Caves are beautiful, naturally carved caves. Must visit the site when you are in Pachmarhi.
