Satpura National Park, also known as Satpura Tiger Reserve, is situated in the Hoshangabad District of Madhya Pradesh. It is famous as a tiger conservation center and is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora and fauna.
It is the least visited of all the wildlife sanctuaries in India. Initially, it established for the conservation of tigers. The land of the park is quite rocky as well as it has many gorges, waterfalls, and trails.
While strolling through the park, you can see sandy rock peaks, dense forests, and large water bodies. Tourists can easily see Pied deer, Porcupine, Tiger, Leopard and Swamp crocodiles, etc. at Satpura National Park.
Unique attractions include the blackbuck and the giant Indian squirrel. Many types of birds are found in the park, which is a delightful feeling to see.
Satpura National Park has a unique collection of tree plants, in which more than 1300 species of plants and many medicinal plants.
It is the only tiger reserve in central India where there is freedom of movement naturally.
Groups of four are allowed to walk in the tiger reserve, but a trained wildlife expert accompanying for safety.
The best time to visit here is between January and June.
