The well is 105 feet deep, with a diameter of more than 4.5 meters. It is surrounded by brick in the upper half to a depth of 44 feet, while the lower part is 61 feet protected by a series of wooden rings.
Covered with moss, the surface structure, which now covers the well and becomes its most distinguishing feature, has eight arched windows. This is well renovated during the reign of Emperor Akbar, and a circular structure built around the well.
