Patna Museum is a state museum located in Patna, the capital of Bihar. Also known as Jadughar by local people. It was built during British rule in 1917 so that historical items found in and around Patna can be stored.
Some of the prized objects on display in the museum are the remains of Gautam Buddha, a 200 million-year-old tree, and the idols of Didarganj Yakshi. This museum itself reveals the experience and past of Patna. Patna Museum, built-in Mughal Rajput architecture, is considered a symbol of Bihar's intellectual prosperity.
