Mallikarjuna Temple is an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva built in the 17th century. This temple was also built by Rani Lok Mahadevi, wife of King Vikramaditya II.
It is situated just beside Virupaksha temple inside the temple complex. The structure of this temple is also very similar to the Virupaksha temple.
This beautiful temple is a must-visit place for tourists visiting Pattadakal.
Another ancient Gauri temple can also be seen nearby. There are many beautiful carvings, some of the famous carvings include Mahishasuramardhini chasing a demon,
Gurukula scenes from Mahabharata and Ramayana wars, Royal lady, Kama, and Vasantha, scenes from Yashodhara and the Panchatantra as well. The grand temple architecture is assuredly going to leave you awestricken.
