Sangameshwar Temple is one of the famous pilgrimage sites of Pattadakal, Karnataka. However, the construction of the temple has not been completed.
It was built between 696 and 733 AD by Maharaja Vijayaditya Satyashray. It is an attractive temple of Pattadakal, in which the form of Dravidian style is seen.
There is a large hall inside the temple, whose architecture is beautiful.
The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva, the art of the Sangameshwara temple looks similar to that of the Virupaksha temple. Both the temples seem to be very similar to each other.
Statues of Nataraja and Narsingh can be seen in the artwork of this famous temple.
