Port Blair Anthropological Museum

Established in 1975, and situated in M G Road, Port Blair Anthropological Museum is aplace where you can see handicrafts, tools, photographs, clothings, weapons etc.

It is a well maintained museum which describes more about the local tribes, i.e. Onges, Sentilese, Jarawas, Andamanese, Shompens, and Nicobarese.

These tribes maintain limited contacts with the outer world and if you want to visit their places you have to take special permission.

So, this museum gives you interesting informations about the livelihood and social condition of the tribes.
