Swargadwar is a Hindu cremation ground in Puri. As the name suggests, people of Hinduism consider it a gateway to heaven. Due to various mythological stories associated with this place, people from all over India come to see Swargadwar. It is said that the person who breathes his last breath on this sea or in this holy place is welcomed directly to heaven and attains complete liberation. Devotees bathe on the beach of Swargadwar to achieve 'liberation'. Shri Chaitanyadev also takes a bath in this sacred place first. According to another legend, the holy Brahmadaru floated from this place to Puri beach, from this Brahmadaru the three main deities of Jagannath Temple were carved out, and this legend attracts tourists.
