Deori Mandir

Constructed from sandstone, founded by a tribal devotee of the Mother Goddess, the Scenic Deodari (Deori) temple of Ranchi city is dedicated to the 16-armed goddess Kali. This temple was most famous when people came to know through the newspaper that Indian cricket team player Mahendra Singh Dhoni comes to this temple regularly. Dhoni goes there before the start of a cricket series. Whether he is good or bad, Dhoni never forgets to see his 'sixteen Goddess' mother. Dhoni along with his wife Sakshi came to mother Deori temple for prayer after the victory in the World Cup in 2011 and offer puja for winning the tournament. On the occasion of Navratri, around 20-30 thousand devotees come to this temple to seek the blessings of the mother.
