Kunjapuri Devi Temple is a Hindu ancient temple, located in Hindolakhal Road, Adli, Uttarakhand. This temple of Kunjapuri Devi is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Kunjpuri Devi Temple also completes a triangle of three Siddha Pithas and situated on the top of the mountains in Tehri Garhwal district. It has three Siddha Peethas.- Kunj Puri, Surkhanda Devi, and Chandrabhaddi are proven. The temple is dedicated to one of the 13 most important goddesses of the Shivalik hills. A very beautiful view of sunrise and sunset is seen from this temple. The road leads to the main temple of Kunjapuri Devi Temple by 80 steps. It offers expansive views of snow-capped mountains and peaks such as the sprawling paradise Rohini, Gangotri, Bandarpanch, and Chakhamba. According to the mythology, Goddess Sati sacrificed her life in the sacrificial fire performed by her father Dakshevara, then Lord Shankar was circling the entire universe with the dead body of Goddess Sati during this time Lord Vishnu with his Sudarshan Chakra, Sati's body was divided into 51 parts, in which the chest of Sati fell at this place, hence the temple is also known as Sri Surakanda Devi Temple. The places where Sati's body part fell are called Shakti Peetha. All the festivals are celebrated in Kunjapuri Devi Temple, especially on the festival of Durga Puja and Navratri special worship is organized.
