Shillong

Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya state, is also known as Scotland of East and is a very clean and scenic place in the Northeastern part of India, well known for its stunning sights and traditions.

Shillong is known as the gateway of the great Meghalaya's, famous for its heavy rainfalls, huge waterfalls, and picturesque landscapes.

It is also said to be the birthplace of Musicians because many famous musicians have hailed from this place. Most of the culture of Shillong is very Westernized and gives a very young feeling to its visitors. Due to the inhabitant's great passion for music, hosting concerts which features a number of western artists, Shillong is also called India's Rock capital.

Cherrapunji, the highest rainfall place is also very near to Shillong.
