Badarpur Fort

Badarpur fort is a famous tourist spot situated along the banks of river Barak in the Karimganj district of Assam. It is only a few kilometers away from Silchar.

This fort was built during the Mughal Era, and the purpose of the construction of this fort was to keep an eye on every movement in this region. Badarpur fort was a part of the present-day Sylhet district in Bangladesh. This fort stands in a semi-ruined state, but the green surroundings and calm environment make this place very beautiful.

This fort has magnificent Islamic architecture. To attract more tourists here, extensive restoration work is going on.
