Ahom Museum

Ahom museum is situated on the banks of Sibsagar lake in Sivasagar.

This museum shows the rich history and cultures of the Ahom dynasty. This museum also tells us a lot about the daily lives of the people during the rule of the Ahom dynasty.

It was founded and opened for visitors in the year 1972. This museum has one of the largest collections of jewelry, artifacts, and art of the Ahom dynasty, which ruled over this area between the 13th and 18th centuries.

The major attraction of this museum includes ancient manuscripts, dresses, metal, cane, swords, weapons, goblets, bamboo items, and platters.

This museum is maintained by the government of Assam. And they have done a great job in putting up these items together.
