This mosque was built in honour of the Muslim Sufi Saint Mir Syed Ali Hamdani. Mir Syed Ali Hamdani saheb popularized Islam religion in Jammu and Kashmir for the first time. Every year, according to the Islamic lunar calendar, on the sixth day of the last month of the year, the death anniversary of Mir Syed Ali Hamdani is celebrated. On this day a large number of devotees come to the mosque to pray. This Shrine has beautiful wood-carved ceilings and hanging balls which are the main center of attraction. Many historical texts and religious teachings have been written on the inner ancient walls of the mosque. Come and visit this beautiful example of architecture and feel the peace here.
