Gorichan Peak is the highest climbable peak in Arunachal Pradesh, which is situated at an altitude of 21,300 feet above sea level. It is at a distance of 164 km from the city.
Due to its high elevation, it is covered with snow throughout the year and attracts many experienced climbers and adventure-loving trekkers. It is known by the local name Sa-Nga-Phu, which means the kingdom of the gods.
The people of the Monpa tribe worship this peak, as they believe that this peak protects them from all evils.
The view is mesmerizing as the green meadows of the valleys and, several pieces of fresh forest are visible at the bottom, the peak is covered with dazzling white snow, the view is worth seeing when the sun rays fall on it.
Trekking and camping are the best activities to do here, and the best time to visit here is between April to June and September.
