The Sela Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass located in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh, with an altitude of 4170 m and connecting the Tibetan Buddhist city of Tawang with Dirang and Guwahati.
There is little vegetation around this pass, and this area usually covered with snow throughout the year. Tourists cannot stay without being mesmerized by the beauty of the place.
This eastern part of the Himalayan mountain range has a special significance in Buddhism.
The rocky pass also has the most beautiful lakes, one of them is - Sela Lake. Apart from this lake, there are about 101 lakes in and around Sela Pass, and each of these lakes has a special religious significance in the Buddhist community.
This pass is open for tourists throughout the year, but sometimes it is temporarily closed due to the landslide.
