Bell temple or Tilinga Mandir (Tilinga means bell in the Assamese language) is a temple that houses the deity of Lord Shiva, situated in the small town named Bordubi of Tinsukia district in Assam.
This temple is as mystically and spiritually strong as any other temple. There are hundreds and thousands of bells of all sizes made up of different metals like bronze, brass, copper, and aluminum. These are tied to a big Peepal tree and on its branches.
It is also believed that wishes get fulfilled by offering a bell to this temple. Here you can also see more than a hundred Shiva tridents speared carelessly here and there into the sand, but most of them are packed together in one place, a few feet away from the mystical tree.
With bell, many people also present a pigeon and a Trishul when their wishes get fulfilled.
This temple is almost half a century old, and people say that the Shiva Linga of this temple emerged from the ground near a banyan tree which is also present in the temple.
This temple is known for its high religious importance, and people from all over the country visit here.
