Considered the pride of Banaras Hindu University, Bharat Kala Bhavan in Varanasi is now on its way to becoming a Green Museum. Preparations are underway to equip this entire building with solar energy. The museum is fully operated on light and sound system and use solar energy only.For this, a 200 KW solar plant is installed on the rooftop of the building. BHU's Bharat Kala Bhavan, which is involved in art, literature, history, and cultural heritage, is being upgraded. It has 15 galleries with renovation work done.Now modern show-cases and digital kiosks are being prepared to keep the priceless creations here. The story behind each work can be read in its display story. Climate control cabinets are being prepared to prevent the rare artifacts here due to rain, moisture, and sunlight.
