ISKCON Temple in Varanasi was established by Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to promote Krishna Consciousness and educate people with the teachings of Lord Krishna as per the Bhagwad Geeta.
Regular poojas, kirtans, and chanting sessions are very popular here. Everyone is welcome to join these sessions without discrimination. Devotees sit within the ISKCON temple and sing bhajans in reverence of Lord Krishna.
The aarti at this temple is electrifying with devotees singing and dancing to the chant of "Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare" to the accompaniment of dholak and cymbals.
There is a feast every Sunday. The feast is held from 12 pm to 2 pm during winter and from 7:30 pm in summer.
It is one of the most beautiful temples of ISKCON in India and has been seeing an increase in footfall with every passing year.
When in Varanasi, a visit to the ISKCON temple is almost essential if you are a religious buff.
