Ramnagar Fort

Ramnagar Fort and Museum is situated on the right bank of the Ganges River. This fort was the royal residence of King Balwant Singh, which was built in the 17th century. Ramnagar is the place where the author Ved Vyas did penance. In fact, after his penance, the real name of this place was Vyas Kashi. Ramnagar is mainly known for 31 days, Ramlila is organized here on these 31 days in September and October.The Ramnagar Museum has beautifully carved balconies, magnificent pavilions, and open courtyards. The most important part of this museum is the Vidya Mandir, which represents the court of the reign of the rulers. The museum has a unique collection of many antiques, including antique clocks, old arsenals, swords, old guns, royal cars, and ivory work items. Tourists can come here to see medieval costumes, jewelry, and furniture of royal families.
