Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple

Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, situated south of the city is a very lovely and miraculous temple of Balaji. This temple is also known as Vanar Mandir because there are a lot of monkeys around this temple. It seems that Shree Hanuman Ji, along with his army of monkeys is residing in this temple. According to the name, this temple is going to remove the distress of its devotees.It is believed that this temple was established where Mahakavi Tulsidas had the dream of Hanuman for the first time. The Sankat Mochan Temple was founded by the poet Tulsidas. He was the author of the Ramacharitmanas, the Awadhi version of the Ramayana composed by Valmiki. Traditions are said to be that Lord Hanuman has special blessings on regular visitors to the temple. Every Tuesday and Saturday, thousands of people stand in a queue to offer prayers to Lord Hanuman. According to Vedic astrology, Lord Hanuman saves humans from the wrath of Shani Graha or people who have Saturn in the wrong place in the horoscope, especially they come to this temple for astrological treatment. According to a legend, Lord Hanuman had swallowed the Sun as a fruit, and then the gods and goddesses pleaded with him to urge him to take the sun out. Some astrologers believe that worshiping Hanuman can neutralize the bad effects of Mars.
