Seetha Devi Temple is a unique temple located amid temples at Pulpalli in the Wayanad district. Statues of God Shri Ram, Sita Devi, and their children (Luv and Kush) are situated here. The story of Devi Sita and her children is closely associated with this temple.
The temple has a pond which is the largest pond in Wayanad. This place and its surrounding areas are considered prominent in the Hindu epic Ramayana.
Seetha Devi Temple was built by the king Sri Pazhassi in the 18th century. He managed the temple for many years, later the management of this temple came to the hands of the Kuppathode family and the famous Nair family of Wayanad.
Every year in the first week of January, a festival is celebrated in the temple, which is also considered a regional festival, that consists of an abundance of people from different castes and creeds. It attracts people from all parts of Wayanad.
