Covid 19 again started spreading in India. The new Variant Omicron also entered India and raised concerns of the people. Though most of the adults and youths are already vaccinated and teenagers (15 to 18) are getting vaccinated from 3rd January 2022 all over India.
The 3rd dose or booster dose will also be given above 60 years old people, but it can't stop the spreading of the virus. Those who have taken vaccines, they are also getting infected. The only hope is that the mortality rate of this new variant infected peoples are very less.
Previously, India withdrew lockdown step by step, and business and other activities were gradually becoming normal. The livelihood of crores of people came to near normal, but again due to the spread of disease, everything will be out of gear.
It has been experienced last time that lockdown is not the ultimate solution, that breaks down the economy of the country. The livelihood of crores of poor people suffers and the state had to support them by feeding them free of cost. But it may not be possible always to state-guard every time. So, again hard time is coming.
The number of Coronavirus-affected persons is increasing sharply. A report as of 4th January 2022 says, in the USA alone more than 10 lakhs people affected in a single day, The condition of European countries like Italy, France, UK are getting worse day by day.
India is already witnessing 3rd wave, and all the State Governments and Central governments requesting people to stay at home. Un-necessary movement is stopped and follows Covid related guidelines. Maintain Social distancing, Hand wash frequently, use sanitizer whenever you come in contact with another person or touch foreign particles. Wear mask permanently. This is the only way to curb the number of Covid patients. If we fight jointly, we must win.
Most of the states are more or less affected, Maharashtra, Delhi, Kerala, West Bengal, Karnataka, are worse affected. Even Omicron reached isolated NE states like Meghalaya and Manipur. Containment Zones are identified and policing is done so that infected persons can not spread the disease. On January 4, 2022, alone India reported 58,097 new Covid cases and 534 deaths. Cases in Delhi are 5481, Mumbai is 10860, Bengaluru 2053, Kolkata 4759, and Chennai is 1489.
Considering the present situation, most of the states started imposing restrictions, partial Lockdown. closure of non-emergency establishments. In Delhi also weekend curfew is imposed from Friday, 7.1.2022, 10 PM to Monday, 10.1.2022, 5 AM. Schools, Colleges, Universities, and other educational institutes are closed again. Govt. offices will run with 50% staff.
Private establishments are also instructed to control the number of staff to a minimum.
International and Domestic flights are running in fewer numbers. Covid test is a must for the Air passengers. Rail services were also controlled again.
